ok, ok.....I was dispared to see that it has officially been 100 days since I opened my xanga account and still have not written anything in it.
I hate that I start things and don't finish them. I really do start out with good intentions, honest I do. Oh well.
I am finally beginning to feel a little bit of a weight lifted from my shoulders. This was the busiest week I have had in a long time! I haven't talked to most of you for ages, so I will get you up to speed.
Rich is currently the full time youth pastor at Grace Covenant Church in Roanoke, Virginia. I am his trusty sidekick and worship leader. (aka he gets paid for his position and mine is strictly volunteer) We currently have about 25-30 high school students every Wednesday night. That is a major improvement from when we first moved here and had a humble 6!
We have really grown to love our kids, as they do us. It will be hard to leave when the time comes. It is always entertaining to see the high school antics that take place on a given Wednesday night. It takes me back to when I was in their shoes, then makes me thankful I am no longer there:)
Besides helping my hubby lead Monday night Leadership Meetings, Tuesday night college group, Wednesday night youth group, and my own Sunday night worship team~ I have been working full time as a pharmacy technician. I absolutely love it! It is really interesting and keeps my brain from turning to mush......I will be taking my National Certification Exam in about 45 days, so that is always in the back of my mind.
In about a month we will be moving out of the church parsonage and into an apartment so that the church can use the house for offices. It is going to be quite an adjustment from being in such a nice big place to a 2 bedroom apartment.......but alas, Rich is just excited he doesn't have to mow his own lawn anymore:) Go figure.
I miss you all and even though I haven't been good about my BLOG I do check yours out when I get a chance. It is good to see your faces and hear about what you are all up to.
I was talking to Betsy a couple of weeks ago and we decided that Steph's wedding would be a great chance to get together for a reunion of sorts! That is if she chooses to have it somewhere other than the Dominican:) Congrats Steph!!!! Blessings to you!!!!
Well, I must get ready for worship practice........
more to come later, and this time I mean it.
